The musical journey of the six women, who discover their »själ«, their soul, in the shared experience of music, began in 2005. With their artistic expertise and musical versatility, they have already performed in renowned concert halls, including the Mozarteum Salzburg and the Vienna Musikverein, as well as on the stages of famous festivals such as the Rheingau Music Festival and the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen. Their repertoire, constantly growing in close collaboration with contemporary composers, unfolds within early music, folk tunes from different cultures and contemporary pieces. These new sounds have already been honoured with first prizes in numerous competitions, including Finland's 2015 Tampereen Sävel festival. Their album »Preisung«, released in 2013, was nominated for the German Record Critics' Award. In 2019, the US CARA Award honoured the production »Meridiane – NORD« as the best folk/world album.
