As concertmaster and director of the Basel Chamber Orchestra, violinist Julia Schröder established her reputation as an outstanding artist, director, and violinist with concert tours through the great halls of Europe. Her captivating style of playing has already thrilled soloists from Sol Gabetta, Marijana Mijanovic, Giuliano Carmignola, and Angelika Kirchschlager to Nuria Rial, Julia Leshneva, and Cecilia Bartoli, with whom the violinist has performed many concerts and recordings. Julia Schröder also makes guest appearances with ensembles such as Il Giardino Armonico, the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra, and the lautten compagney BERLIN. Since 2010, she has been a violin professor at the Freiburg University of Music.
