As co-founder and former singer of VOCES8, Paul Smith is also firmly associated with the famous vocal ensemble as the author of the VOCES8 method and CEO of the VOCES8 Foundation. The versatile artist and enthusiastic music educator has travelled the world – his work as a performer, composer, and educator has taken him from renowned concert halls and festivals to schools, universities, and major conferences. Enthusiastic about working with people, he performs in duets as well as in significant projects with the Orchestre d'Auvergne, VOCES8, and Apollo5, among others. In the 2023/24 season, he will also conduct choral projects in France, work with the Philharmonie in Paris, and tour Germany, the USA, South Africa, and Australia with concerts and workshops. He also presents several new compositions, including for Vox Anima London. In addition to making music, Smith is also interested in the multifaceted effects of music. His VOCES8 method uses music to promote the learning effects of pupils worldwide.
